The Story of blue Kiwi™

Once upon a time there was an old entrepreneur who had survived corporate America for many, many years and was still energetic; and, a young wanna-be entrepreneur working in corporate America who was so wise and so talented that he could sell ice to Eskimos.
One day the old entrepreneur returned from a Mini-Society® training session. She was excited about what Marilyn Kourilsky, Ph.D. and the Kauffman Foundation had created. It was good. It fit well with many things she had been thinking about for lots of years.
The old entrepreneur invited the young wanna-be entrepreneur, who was a client, to lunch. They met to discuss business. But during the repast, she shared the story of what she had learned and what she knew should be. He, too, grew excited and expounded on all the possibilities. Together they would help all young wanna-be entrepreneurs understand and explore how to make their dreams come true. And so they planned.
One suggested they have a name. It should be an acronym. Another suggested BLEU. Neither could imagine what that might mean. That night she dreamt kiwis, that once largely unknown, ugly, little, brown fruit which when exposed becomes a beautiful, delicious and useful thing. Kiwi? Fruit? She thought of lemon-aide stands from her youth. Oh my! What if children today had kiwi stands? Eureka! Instead of pink lemon-aide, the children would sell blue kiwi.
And so their excitement grew and became known as blue KIWI™, an unheard of symbol for anything's possible when it comes to entrepreneurial spirit.
