Where Kids Mind Their Own Business

Overview of Programs

Mini-Society® Entrepreneurial Summer Camp: The week-long summer camp curriculum, developed by Marilyn Kourilsky, PhD and supported by the National Council on Economic Education (NCEE), teaches entrepreneurship, economics, and citizenship concepts to participants.

Mentor One™: Twelve eighth grade students interested in four specified career fields are paired with twelve mentors, each a leader in their career field and the community. Each student/mentor pair meet monthly at the mentor's business to explore the career and world of work. They also attend scheduled field trips at area colleges, where students talk with coeds and professors about college life and curriculum, and tour campus.

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work®: The program provides a once a year opportunity for girls and boys to share their expectations for the future in the context of seeing new opportunities for balancing the responsibilities of job and family.
